The conference, which is organised by Beacon Events, is “the nation’s premier gaming and wagering conference, focusing on innovation and outside-the-box thinking to keep operators ahead of the game within Australia’s highly competitive marketplace.” It brings together over 150 of Australia’s leading sports betting, gaming, wagering, lottery and racing executives, where they will learn about the latest developments in the industry, incoming regulations, and strategies.

The GRWA welcomes anyone from the Asia Pacific gambling industry to attend, recommending the event for club operators, industry associations, hotel and pub owners, gaming operators, marketing consultants, security/surveillance providers, casino operators, gaming regulators, government authorities and software solution providers.

The first day of the conference is Casino, Clubs, and Gaming Day, which will cover regulatory updates followed by a panel discussion regarding the current challenges being faced by the clubs and casino industry. Over the course of the conference, the agenda will cover such varied topics as AML compliance, Japan’s new casino bill, how to grow a VIP gambling base, the rise of the gambling industry in Asia, mobile gambling advancements and virtual reality gaming.

There will also be a special two-part workshop focusing on eSports, with marketing professionals revealing how to attract the new generation of millennial players to the eSports market.

Key note speakers include Ben Blaschke (Managing Editor of Inside Asian Gaming), Darren Kwan (President of Australian eSports Association), Dr Sally Gainsbury (Director of the Gambling Treatment and Research Clinic at the University of Sydney) and Jonquil Ritter (Executive Manager at the Australian Communications and Media Authority), along with many others. It is the diverse mix of gaming industry professionals, media authorities and gambling researchers that makes this event so valuable.

Media partners for the event include Calvin Ayre, Gambling Insider, World Casino Directory, Online Casino Reports, Totally Gaming, The Drop, On the Punt, Asia Gaming Brief and Gaming Intelligence.

The GRWA is running in conjunction with Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) which will be taking place from the 15th to the 17th of August across the street at the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney).
